Hi
guys, you all might be having a wonderful time in this hot n scorching heat
what we call as “summer holidays”. But yes besides enjoying only the place and
its ambience , one should definitely enjoy the famous and mouth drooling dish of
the place.
Think
of the place, which is surrounded by beautiful view of mountains and is
definitely a paradise on earth. YES a place well versed with its name and
offering you best scenic beauty . “MUSSOORIE-
THE QUEEN OF HILLS” is not just a name but a description of what place looks
like and what actually makes this place look like a QUEEN.
Well
my these holidays were spent in the midst of Mountains enjoying the jaw
dropping beauty of various lakes , flowers and yes food definitely. While going
through the normal day time walk after my lunch, I found a place offering a
mouth watering sweet dish. As I was already full with abundant of food, I was not in position to even have a
bite of it …L But then I was actually startled to see
the dish. It was so damn mouth watering. The first and foremost thing of any
dish is its appearance. So when firstly I saw it, I just had fallen in love
with it at one go. So besides having no more space in stomach, I still went for
it.
So
without more suspense, I want to introduce you people to the sweet dish I tried
which left me spellbound. That’s called “ BAL
MITHAI” . yes you heard it right !!!!!
BAL MITHAI is a name which connects us to our
childhood and our childhood memories. This dish totally makes you remember your
days when you were really mad at chocolates J
BAL MITHAI
is brown chocolate-like fudge, made
with roasted khoya, coated with white sugar balls, and is a popular sweet from
the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand in India, especially regions around Almora.
Well bal mithai is generally costly in Mussoorie as its their famous dish, but
on bargaining you will get it at a reasonable rate. There the cost of one piece
is around Rs.30. But yes I must say those Rs30. Wont pinch you at any cost.
Talking of
taste its actually good , and makes you forget everything . Its not
that sweet like other basic sweet dish. It has got perfect flavors of khoya .
So don’t worry you wont increase weight having
a bite of it. sugar balls coating gives it a crunchy flavor.
Now
basically you just cant specially go just to have this dish in Mussoorie . so if
you really want to get its flavor. You can try in different places in Delhi. I will
suggest you some places where you can definitely get this BAL MITHAI in Delhi.
